Nicole is a specialist Paediatric and Family Health Dietitian and Lactation Consultant, in private practice. She provides evidence-based, sustainable nutrition and feeding advice that supports optimal health and growth, and meets a family at their unique needs. Nicole graduated from Monash University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Nutrition & Dietetics, and worked as a Clinical Dietitian at a large metropolitan tertiary hospital, with Melbourne’s most critically ill, for over 15 years, before a career change to infant and family feeding.
Nicole volunteered with the Australian Breastfeeding Association (ABA) as a Breastfeeding Counsellor & qualified as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in 2017. Her role as co-lead of the Nutrition & Breastfeeding working group with Dietitians Australia (DA) involves promoting maternal and infant health. Nicole is passionate about educating colleagues and contributes monthly research summaries to ABA’s Breastfeeding Information & Research Team, for the Health Professional Newsletter. She mentors emerging dietitians and has worked with schools, childcare centres and kindergartens to improve their menus & nutrition policy. Outside of work, you will find Nicole running or spending time with her partner & two children.
Nicole’s areas of expertise include breastfeeding, mixed (breast and bottle) feeding, transition to solids, family nutrition, poor growth (underweight and overweight), breastfeeding a baby with food allergies and intolerances, nutrition for mum whilst breastfeeding.
